About Kurtis Blow
Kurtis Blow recorded Christmas Rappin' for Mercury in 1979 and followed it with The Breaks. His early album career moved from a self-titled debut through Deuce and Party Time, with the latter bringing go-go into his rap recordings. Ego Trip included Basketball, while America featured If I Ruled the World. Production work and support for other performers, including the Fat Boys, extended his role beyond his own records.
