About Peter Paul and Mary
Peter, Paul and Mary was the American folk trio brought together in 1961 with manager Albert Grossman. Its harmonies connected traditional folk material, contemporary songwriting and public performances associated with the civil-rights and antiwar years. The recordings included If I Had a Hammer, Puff, the Magic Dragon and Bob Dylan songs, followed by John Denver's Leaving on a Jet Plane.
