About Daddy Yankee
Daddy Yankee is the Puerto Rican rapper Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez, whose early experience included improvising verses and appearing on DJ Playero mixtapes. He became closely associated with reggaeton as it developed from Caribbean dance and rap traditions. Barrio Fino brought Gasolina to international listeners in 2004. His later collaborative work included Despacito with Luis Fonsi, followed by a separate remix featuring Justin Bieber, alongside continuing recording and production projects.
