About Jimmy Soul
Jimmy Soul came to popular recording after singing gospel as a teenager. Producer Frank Guida brought him into the Norfolk recording scene and selected material with calypso and Caribbean influences. Twistin' Matilda and If You Wanna Be Happy became the central records of that short pop career, followed by further songs in a similarly rhythmic style.
