About John Hiatt
John Hiatt moved from Indianapolis to Nashville as a young songwriter and recorded with White Duck before beginning his solo album career. His sound changed from new wave influences toward the roots-rock approach heard on Bring the Family in 1987. Other performers recorded his songs, including Bonnie Raitt with Thing Called Love. He also joined Nick Lowe, Ry Cooder and Jim Keltner in Little Village while maintaining a separate solo catalog.
