Take Me Home - original full album recording
The original 1979 program identifies the approximately 6:43 full title recording. Later John Morales remix material is separate and is not used for first-release dating. | Reviewed 2026-10-18
If I Could Turn Back Time anthology - named single and remake alternatives
Used only for the explicit Take Me Home (Single Version), Bang Bang (1987 Version), and the independently retained 1990 Shoop Shoop field. The 1999 anthology date and the erroneous 1972 Half-Breed field do not establish original dates. | Reviewed 2026-10-18
Annual version match under review
The selected recording has release evidence, but its version has not been matched to the retained annual entry. It is omitted from Beyond the yearly lists until this match is resolved.
The selected full original album recording and the explicitly named shorter Single Version are separately documented. The actual 1979 annual row does not identify its edition, so the full-album recording link remains provisional.

About Cher
Cher emerged in the 1960s alongside Sonny Bono before developing a solo recording career across folk-pop, rock, disco and electronic dance music. Her contralto voice links otherwise different records, from Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves to If I Could Turn Back Time and Believe. Singing has remained one part of a wider performance career that also includes film, television and elaborate concert presentation.
