Never Surrender - official original album archive
The official artist store explicitly dates Never Surrender to 1982 and prints its complete original track program. That earlier original year is corroborated by licensed album metadata; later artist narratives using 1983 are retained as a documented discrepancy rather than used to reset the first year. | Reviewed 2026-10-19
Never Surrender - Craft licensed album metadata on Apple Music
The licensed Craft album metadata identifies the original year as 1982, corroborating the official artist store. January 1 is treated as unverified precision; the 2017 phonographic notice refers to the supplied edition, not the first release. | Reviewed 2026-10-19
Triumph - official original album chronology
The official artist chronology identifies the original studio album years and separates live and remixed releases. Its Never Surrender heading uses 1983; the official store and licensed album metadata independently establish the earlier 1982 year used here. No month or day is asserted. | Reviewed 2026-10-19

About Triumph
Triumph formed in Toronto in 1975 with guitarist and singer Rik Emmett, bassist and keyboardist Mike Levine, and drummer and singer Gil Moore. Their combination of melodic hard rock and elaborate concert production developed through Just a Game and Allied Forces. Lay It on the Line belongs to the 1979 album, while Fight the Good Fight comes from the 1981 release. Both retain the trio's group identity here.
