Who Loves You - original licensed album program
The original 1975 album program identifies the selected group performances and their original album association. Its inherited fields are checked against Rhino original-album chronology; inconsistent earlier or later track placeholders are not adopted. Later re-recordings and cast performances are separate. | Reviewed 2026-10-18
Rhino - separate group, solo and later cast projects
The label separates the Four Seasons original group albums from Frankie Valli solo albums and from later stage and screen cast recordings. It dates The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette to 1969 and Who Loves You to 1975. These are original album years, distinct from the 2014 reissue. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

About The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons built their early sound around Frankie Valli's high lead voice and the closely coordinated harmonies of Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Tommy DeVito. Their recordings connect doo-wop vocal exchanges with strongly marked pop rhythms. The group later explored longer arrangements on The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette and returned to a more dance-oriented studio sound on Who Loves You. Valli's solo recordings form a separate catalog, even when anthologies present them beside the group's work.
