About Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper began as the name of a rock band formed in Phoenix, with a stage style drawing on horror films and theatrical spectacle. Working with Bob Ezrin, the group reached a wider audience through Love It to Death and the albums that followed. The singer then carried the Alice Cooper name into a solo career, beginning with Welcome to My Nightmare in 1975. Later records moved between ballads, concept albums and hard rock, including the 1989 album Trash. The original band and solo recordings represent distinct career phases.
