Original single: I'll Never Fall in Love Again

Tom Jones - licensed original hit-recording metadata
The licensed anthology identifies the original solo recordings and individual release years: the three selected 1965 titles, Green Green Grass of Home in 1966, I'll Never Fall in Love Again in 1967, Delilah in 1968, Love Me Tonight and Without Love in 1969, Daughter of Darkness and I (Who Have Nothing) in 1970, and She's a Lady in 1971. Its 2000 package date and January placeholders are not first-release events. Original individual years are checked against the album and single sources where they differ. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Tom Jones - original hits and separately labeled later remix
This licensed anthology explicitly labels its I'm Coming Home as Steve Benham Remix with a 1987 field and approximately 3:19 duration. That later presentation is not the selected 1967 Single Version. The anthology also corroborates earlier individual years of the original classic hits; its 1997 package year is not used for them. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

In the yearly lists

These are listening-list appearances, separate from the first-release date.

The actual retained Tom Jones solo hit context identifies the original studio single recording documented by the scoped sources. The annual title preserves the same performance identity; concerts, later remixes and different performers' recordings are separate. The longer licensed title (It Looks Like) I'll Never Fall in Love Again is the same original 1967 Tom Jones title, not another performer's song.

ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Tom Jones

Tom Jones grew up in Pontypridd, South Wales, and sang in clubs before signing with Decca. His early records placed a powerful voice within compact pop arrangements, while his repertoire continued to draw on rhythm and blues and country music. Reload later brought that voice into explicitly credited collaborations with other performers. His work with Ethan Johns moved toward more exposed studio arrangements, including the live-in-studio performances of Praise & Blame and the varied songwriting repertoire of Spirit in the Room.
