Bangla Desh - original studio single separated from concert
The official estate expressly identifies the original studio Bangla Desh as a July 1971 single and as a later digital concert-album bonus. The separate live concert performance and the 2024 streaming availability do not date or replace the original studio single. | Reviewed 2026-10-18
Annual version match under review
The selected recording has release evidence, but its version has not been matched to the retained annual entry. It is omitted from Beyond the yearly lists until this match is resolved.
Both the original studio single and a distinct concert performance were released in 1971. The actual retained annual title does not identify the performance or mix, so this explicitly selected original studio single retains its real candidate provisionally.

About George Harrison
George Harrison was a guitarist, singer and songwriter whose work extended from the Beatles into a substantial solo career. His music brought Indian musical and spiritual interests into dialogue with Western popular song. He founded Dark Horse Records in 1974 and later recorded albums including Thirty Three & 1/3, George Harrison and Cloud Nine for the label. That period also included film work through HandMade Films and collaborations with musicians such as Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Jeff Lynne, alongside the separate Traveling Wilburys partnership.
