ARTIST BACKGROUND

About OutKast

OutKast are the Atlanta hip-hop duo of André 3000 and Big Boi. Their recordings bring Southern storytelling together with funk, soul, jazz and rock, often using futuristic imagery and elaborate musical settings. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik established their early approach, while ATLiens and Aquemini expanded its range. Stankonia pushed further into electronic and psychedelic textures, and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below presented contrasting sides of the partnership. Across these changes, the duo's distinct vocal styles and interest in narrative remained central to the music.

About this artist collection

Outkast is the duo of Andre 3000 and Big Boi. The separately shaped halves of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below retain the original Outkast release credit; member solo careers remain separate. Explicitly credited guest performers are retained.

First released means the earliest documented official public release of the selected recording. A year-only date does not assert a month or day. Later singles, chart years, compilations, remasters and reissues do not replace that date.
