About Jon Secada
Jon Secada developed a bilingual recording career that connects pop singing with jazz training. He studied music at the University of Miami while also working in clubs and writing commercial material. Collaboration with Gloria Estefan included co-writing Coming Out of the Dark. His own English and Spanish recordings followed, including the albums Jon Secada and Otro Dia Mas Sin Verte. Later work ranged from songwriting for other performers to a big-band tribute to Cuban singer Beny More.
