About Teddy Pendergrass
Teddy Pendergrass began singing gospel and playing drums in Philadelphia before joining Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. Moving from the drum kit to lead vocals, he helped shape the group's recordings of If You Don't Know Me by Now and Wake Up Everybody.
