About The Bangles
The Bangles emerged from Los Angeles's Paisley Underground scene, bringing together vocal harmonies, jangling guitars and garage-rock influences. Susanna Hoffs, sisters Vicki and Debbi Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas formed the early group; Michael Steele joined during its subsequent recording history. All Over the Place led into A Different Light and Everything, with repertoire including Manic Monday, Walk Like an Egyptian and Eternal Flame. Later reunion albums, Doll Revolution and Sweetheart of the Sun, continued their collaborative writing and playing.
