About Engelbert Humperdinck

Engelbert Humperdinck was born Arnold Dorsey in India and grew up in Leicester, England. He worked as a saxophonist and nightclub entertainer before adopting a stage name borrowed from the German composer. Las Vegas engagements and concert appearances complemented his recordings, while the later album Engelbert Calling brought together a range of duet partners.
