About The Kings
The Kings grew from the songwriting partnership of Mister Zero and Sonny Keyes, who met in Vancouver and recruited David Diamond and Max Styles from Ontario. Initially called WhistleKing, the Canadian group developed its material through club work and rehearsal. Producer Bob Ezrin joined the project at Toronto's Nimbus 9 studio, leading to the debut The Kings Are Here. Its linked songs This Beat Goes On and Switchin' to Glide became the band's best-known introduction.
