About Toto
Toto developed from the musical partnership of keyboard player David Paich and drummer Jeff Porcaro, whose friendship preceded extensive studio work. Experience recording with artists such as Steely Dan and Boz Scaggs helped shape their approach when they formed a band of their own. Paich's writing contributed Hold the Line, Rosanna and Africa to Toto's repertoire. The group's history connects carefully constructed pop and rock songs with the instrumental skills and collaborative habits of experienced session musicians.
