Thomas Rhett is a country singer and songwriter born in Valdosta, Georgia, and raised in Nashville. His recording career developed during the 2010s, with ballads such as Die a Happy Man alongside more upbeat material. For the 2024 album About a Woman, he discussed drawing on his relationship with his wife, Lauren, while using pop and blues elements in the arrangements. That documented album context is one part of his career, rather than a claim that every recording recounts his own life.
