About Seals and Crofts
Seals and Crofts paired Jim Seals with Dash Crofts. Both musicians had substantial earlier careers before their work together became associated with the soft rock of the 1970s. The 1972 Warner Bros. album Summer Breeze, their fourth, brought the title song and Hummingbird to a wider audience. Diamond Girl, I'll Play for You and Get Closer followed during the next several years. Their recordings combined vocal melodies with carefully arranged studio accompaniment; Marty Paich provided orchestral arrangements for Summer Breeze.
