Lifehouse developed in the Los Angeles area around singer, songwriter and guitarist Jason Wade, after an early period using the name Blyss. No Name Face introduced the band widely in 2000 through Hanging by a Moment. A continuing collaboration with songwriter and producer Jude Cole contributed songs including You and Me, First Time and Halfway Gone. Later releases and touring extended that catalog, while members also pursued separate musical projects.
