About David Houston
David Houston performed on the Louisiana Hayride during the 1950s and had already made a series of records, mainly for RCA, by 1959. His later work for Epic established a substantial country repertoire, including Mountain of Love and the 1966 recording Almost Persuaded. Duets formed another part of his career, with partners including Tammy Wynette and Barbara Mandrell. Houston and Wynette recorded My Elusive Dreams under producer Billy Sherrill during their 1960s Epic period.
