About Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen developed his music around New Jersey clubs before signing with Columbia Records. His first two albums appeared in 1973, drawing on soul, folk and rock, and Born to Run brought a larger audience in 1975. Much of his catalog features E Street musicians, but Nebraska and The Ghost of Tom Joad offer much quieter settings. Later records continued that variation, from the ensemble sound of The Rising to the orchestral textures of Western Stars. The released albums retain his solo artist credit.
