About Eddy Grant
Eddy Grant's work extends across performing, producing and running music businesses. Born in Guyana, he moved to London and formed the Equals, a band whose members came from different racial backgrounds. After stepping away from touring with the group, he continued writing songs. His Coach House Studios in Stamford Hill supported African and Caribbean music in Britain, while Ice Records and a pressing operation gave him an active role in recording and distributing music as well as making it.
