As the new routine took shape, the founding coordinator agreed to relinquish control of the booking board to the current volunteers. Mara did not want to relegate his useful notes to an obscure box where no one would find them. Missing information about an unfinished order could stymie the next shift, leaving its members unable to decide which pages still needed printing. She asked him to explain the notes before the handover, so the transfer of responsibility would preserve knowledge without keeping every decision in his hands.

The coordinator found it easier to relinquish his old role once the volunteers showed that they could maintain the schedule themselves. They decided not to relegate instructions for unusual jobs to the back of a rarely opened drawer. Instead, those instructions stayed beside the work record, because one unresolved detail could stymie progress even when the equipment and materials were ready. Mara wrote the new responsibilities clearly on the wall, and the coordinator joined the next session as a volunteer with an ordinary shift.
