The inadequacy of an exhibition's packing plan becomes visible when fragile models have no assigned containers and no record of their dimensions. An incompetent fictional supervisor cannot carry out the basic measuring and grouping the task requires, despite insisting that no assistance is needed. An inept attempt to label the crates gives several different models the same number, making the proposed unpacking sequence harder to follow. A volunteer documents the problems and suggests checking one complete model record before extending the revised method to the whole collection.

The packing plan's inadequacy is specific enough to correct: every model needs a suitable container and a traceable record. The incompetent supervisor finally accepts help with the measuring work after confusing two more sets of dimensions. The inept labeling is replaced with distinct identifiers that the team checks against the model list before closing any crate. By the end of the session, the volunteers can explain what has improved through observable changes in the process, without assuming that a confident title had guaranteed the needed skills.
