The teammate decided to refrain from sending an angry message while the group was still checking which inventory entries needed correction. Some volunteers began to resent an arrangement that repeatedly left them with unacknowledged extra work created by another person's neglected shift. An acquiescent member accepted the coordinator's proposed redistribution of duties without resistance, even though the plan changed her usual role. The coordinator invited comments before finalizing the arrangement, giving those different responses room to emerge rather than treating silence as proof of enthusiasm.

Choosing to refrain from the message gave the teammate time to replace an accusation with a specific request about the next shift. The volunteers could still resent the extra burden while supporting a practical change that addressed it. The acquiescent member explained that she was willing to accept the new role, though she did not have a strong preference for it. The group recorded who would complete each task and agreed to revisit the arrangement if the same neglected work continued to fall on others.
