The equipment coordinator had to admonish a volunteer who repeatedly returned rechargeable lamps without completing the agreed preparation for the next borrower. A teammate chose to reproach the volunteer for breaking a promise to help with the evening inventory, explaining why the absence had been disappointing. The volunteer had also been remiss in recording loans, leaving several entries without the information needed to locate the equipment. The coordinator discussed each responsibility separately and asked what practical arrangement would make the next shift easier to complete accurately.

To admonish the volunteer, the coordinator firmly stated what needed to change and warned against repeating the neglected preparation. The teammate did not continue to reproach him once he acknowledged the broken promise and arranged a time to help finish the inventory. Being remiss in the loan records still required correction, because an apology alone could not identify the missing locations. Together they checked the available messages and restored the entries, then left a clear checklist beside the equipment desk for the following shift.
