The club treated registration and room setup as ancillary tasks supporting the sewing workshop's main purpose. To accommodate participants who needed more table space, the organizer moved two storage boxes and rearranged the workstations. Every station still had to conform to the venue's stated spacing requirements. The changes made the session easier to use while keeping its arrangement consistent with the conditions of the room booking, so volunteers checked the final layout before inviting participants to take their seats.

Although the ancillary tasks did not teach sewing directly, mistakes in registration or setup could still interfere with the lesson. The organizer found that she could accommodate different workspace needs without giving every station an identical shape. Each arrangement could conform to the same spacing requirements while using the available furniture differently. The volunteers therefore checked the relevant measurements rather than insisting on visual uniformity, linking practical adaptation with the particular standard they were responsible for meeting.
