Notice agreement and division

A campus film club made a collective decision to run its next screening with another student society. Members approved the collaboration by acclamation, calling out their support when the chair put the proposal to the room. Dissension appeared later over the ticket arrangement, when two groups within the club argued for incompatible prices. The chair treated the earlier approval as genuine without pretending that agreement on one broad aim automatically settled every practical choice involved in carrying it out.
The collective effort continued while members compared possible ticket arrangements and the costs each would cover. The chair did not seek another acclamation before allowing questions, since enthusiastic voices alone would not explain the remaining disagreement. She invited members to describe the reasons behind the dissension and write down options they could all examine. This made it possible to preserve the shared screening plan while recognizing that a divided group still needed a workable decision about access and expenses.
