A neighborhood festival offered volunteers meal vouchers commensurate with the length of their shifts. During planning, Priya noticed that one team carried a disproportionate share of the setup work. Adding one helper would provide only marginal relief because that team still had most of the heavy tasks. She proposed moving several assignments to groups with shorter lists.

The revised plan made each team's workload more commensurate with its size. Priya did not demand identical assignments, since the groups had different skills and available hours. She wanted to correct a disproportionate burden, not erase every difference. One remaining adjustment made a marginal improvement, but the larger redistribution had already resolved the most obvious imbalance in the schedule.
