Holding a position, hearing an idea

Two artists disagreed about the entrance to a shared exhibition. Inez was adamant that visitors should see the central sculpture first. Paul was amenable to that idea if there was also space for an introductory note. Inez would not simply acquiesce to every suggestion, but she agreed to examine a sketch showing how both features might fit.
After measuring the entrance, Paul became adamant that the note could not block the doorway. Inez was amenable to placing it on a side wall. Neither artist had to acquiesce to an arrangement they believed would fail. By stating their concerns clearly, they discovered that the central sculpture and a readable introduction could both have suitable positions.
