Xanomeline / trospium - COBENFY oral capsules
- Product / population
- COBENFY fixed combination for schizophrenia in adults; not interchangeable with single-ingredient trospium bladder dosing.
- Renal measure
- MDRD eGFR; printed mL/min units retained without conversion
Not recommended, contraindicated and dose-reduced are different instructions.
The printed MDRD units were not silently normalized.
Selected named sections only; not a complete monograph or independent clinical approval.
Exact DailyMed HTML identity and selected sections read. Raw SPL XML, original-source hashes and complete revision history were not retrieved. Label retrieval does not establish current availability.
Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
The January 2026 label uses the same dosage as normal renal function for mild impairment (printed eGFR 60 to <90 mL/min). Below 60 mL/min, COBENFY is not recommended; increased anticholinergic effects are expected as trospium exposure rises.
Pre-existing urinary retention is a separate contraindication. Do not reinterpret the renal wording as either a universal contraindication or permission to improvise a reduced fixed-combination regimen. The renal PK section specifies MDRD while printing mL/min; the indexing question remains explicit. No dialysis dose is established by these selected sections.
