Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
Correct volume depletion before infusion. In patients at risk of renal dysfunction, use the lowest practicable infusion rate and monitor renal function and urine output. Measure BUN and serum creatinine before the first infusion and at appropriate subsequent intervals. Consider discontinuation if renal function worsens. QIVIGY contains no sucrose, but renal injury can still occur with sucrose-free immune globulin. This warning does not supply a numeric renal-adjusted infusion rate or replace the product-specific dose/rate instructions.
