Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
The source does not recommend VICOPROFEN in advanced renal disease because controlled clinical data are unavailable. If treatment must be initiated, close renal-function monitoring is advised. Ibuprofen-related renal decompensation is a particular concern with impaired kidney function, heart failure, diuretic use or older age.
This fixed opioid/NSAID product cannot be treated as hydrocodone alone. Reducing the opioid component does not remove the NSAID renal risk, and the selected source provides no renal-adjusted combination regimen.
