GlobalRPh RX List - MONOPRIL
- Product / population
- Adult hypertension or heart-failure treatment; distinguish maintenance PK guidance from initiation sensitivity.
- Renal measure
- Source describes CrCl in mL/min/1.73 m2; clinical blood-pressure and renal response also matter.
RX mirror: this is not independent corroboration of its underlying label. Check dated-label and formulation limitations.
Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
The source permits the usual dose across renal impairment because hepatobiliary clearance partly compensates. However, for heart-failure patients with moderate-to-severe renal failure or vigorous diuresis, it prefers a 5 mg initial dose rather than the usual 10 mg and close blood-pressure observation. Assess renal function and monitor for hypotension, azotemia and hyperkalemia. The no-routine-adjustment statement does not override this initiation qualification.
