Usual Dosing (Adults)
AMPYRA is a potassium-channel blocker for improvement of walking in multiple sclerosis, demonstrated by increased walking speed. Maximum 10 mg twice daily approximately 12 hours apart, with or without food. Do not take extra/double doses for a missed dose. Higher doses showed no additional benefit and more adverse events including seizures. Take tablets whole; do not divide, crush, chew or dissolve. Strength: 10 mg tablets.
