RX mirror: this is not independent corroboration of its underlying label. Check dated-label and formulation limitations.
Lack of systemic absorption does not remove acid-base concerns.
Selected named sections only; not a complete monograph or independent clinical approval.
A label mirror is not independent corroboration of its underlying label. Fresh official confirmation is pending unless a separate official card is shown.
Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
Prolonged use of this chloride-form anion-exchange resin can cause hyperchloremic acidosis. The mirror emphasizes caution in renal insufficiency, volume depletion and concurrent spironolactone, with particular concern for younger/smaller patients receiving relatively larger doses.
This is a qualitative renal-safety warning, not a numeric dose-reduction table. It remains relevant even when a separate source describes lack of systemic absorption. Fluid and electrolyte status and concomitant drugs require assessment; no new monitoring frequency or clearance cutoff is invented.
