- Product / population
- Single-agent NEXLETOL oral tablets; not a fixed-dose combination.
- Renal measure
- Qualitative renal categories in the pharmacokinetic section; no new cutoff assigned here.
Selected renal sections only, not a complete monograph. Exact product, indication, patient population, renal method and all other contraindications/interactions remain controlling.
Second independent renal reference and clinician adjudication remain pending; no all-indication, dialysis or pediatric dose may be inferred from an omitted field.
Renal pharmacokinetic comments
The selected label reports no clinically significant pharmacokinetic differences across mild, moderate or severe renal impairment, or renal failure. This statement is not a dialysis dosing schedule.
Renal-related precautions
OAT2 inhibition can increase uric acid. Assess for hyperuricemia and gout, and monitor as clinically indicated. Renal failure is among the risk factors identified for tendon injury or rupture.
