Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits

The official label regards single-dose renal PK changes as not clinically meaningful, including severe impairment without dialysis. It does not establish repeated-dose or dialysis safety. Adult PONV dosing is 5 mg IV for prevention or 10 mg IV for treatment, each infused over 1-2 minutes.

Avoid use with congenital long-QT syndrome or droperidol. ECG monitoring is recommended with conduction disorders, electrolyte abnormalities, heart failure, or other QT-prolonging medicines/conditions. The renal PK finding does not cancel those precautions.

Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits

The selected single-dose PK studies found increased exposure with renal impairment but regarded these changes as not clinically meaningful. Severe-renal participants had eGFR below 30 mL/min/1.73 m2 and did not require dialysis. No dialysis regimen is provided.

The labeled adult regimens remain 5 mg IV for prevention or 10 mg IV for treatment, over 1-2 minutes, within the indication's conditions. QT-risk assessment remains necessary; the single-dose renal finding should not be transferred to repeated dosing or oral amisulpride.
