Labeled basic dosing

The adult starting/recommended dose is 10 mg orally once daily. Based on response and tolerability, increase no sooner than one week to a maximum 20 mg/day. Most older adults and patients with hepatic impairment use 10 mg/day.

Renal information and dialysis

No change is needed for mild or moderate renal impairment. At adult CrCl below 20 mL/min, a recommended dosage has not been determined. A dialysis-specific regimen is not supplied.

Selected warnings and limits

Monitor clinical worsening or suicidality, serotonin syndrome and hyponatremia; screen for bipolar disorder and review interacting medicines.
