Select a laboratory test
Detailed ranges, interpretation, differential considerations, interferences, related tests, and follow-up questions will appear here.
One-stop laboratory reference platform
Search an expanded clinician-focused laboratory database, review disease-state patterns, convert conventional and SI units, parse common panels, use integrated hematology and anemia tools, and analyze serial values for direction, velocity, percentage change, interval crossings, and optional reference change value.
A-to-Z laboratory library
Search by test name, abbreviation, alias, specimen, category, or clinical concept.
Detailed ranges, interpretation, differential considerations, interferences, related tests, and follow-up questions will appear here.
Multi-result interpretation workspace
Paste many results at once to identify high, low, within-range, target-range, urgent, unmatched, and context-dependent findings. Use the range printed on the report whenever available.
Context is used only to choose among age-, sex-, pregnancy-, fasting-, or timing-specific intervals. Do not enter a name, birth date, record number, or other identifier.

Longitudinal laboratory analysis
Calculate net direction, absolute and percentage change, linear velocity, trend fit, interval crossings, doubling or halving time, and optional biological-variation significance.

Enter assay analytical variation (CVa) and within-person biological variation (CVi) from a validated source. The tool calculates RCV = sqrt(2) x Z x sqrt(CVa^2 + CVi^2).
Differential diagnosis support
Browse usual laboratory constellations or enter observed high, low, positive, or normal findings to rank compatible patterns.
Typical findings, competing diagnoses, follow-up questions, and urgent features will appear here.
Selecting a condition automatically loads every finding from its usual laboratory pattern below. You can then modify the rows to compare a patient's observed directions. Rankings indicate compatibility only and are not diagnoses.
Bidirectional conventional and SI units
Choose a reviewed linear route or formula conversion. Reverse calculation is automatic.
Calculated laboratory relationships
Frequently used calculations are grouped here for rapid review. Each card states the formula and limitations.
Routine albumin-adjusted calcium reporting is not included because contemporary guidance favors direct ionized-calcium measurement when total calcium may be misleading. Use appropriate specimen handling and the reporting laboratory's method-specific interval.
Methods, privacy, and deployment
Use the reporting laboratory's interval and local notification policy before applying any result to patient care.
Version 1.9 separates active reference intervals, decision categories, therapeutic ranges, action values, and illustrative critical thresholds. These concepts are not interchangeable.
The dashboard uses the interval or target printed on the pasted report first. If no range is pasted but an H, L, normal, or critical flag is present, that reporting-laboratory flag controls the panel status. A range entered for the current review, a browser-saved local range, or an eligible database interval may otherwise be used in that order.
Age, sex, pregnancy, fasting, and collection timing can resolve context-specific intervals. Common table header rows are ignored. Duplicate analytes remain visible but are excluded from automatic secondary calculations. When the applicable range still cannot be selected safely, the dashboard asks for context or the report range instead of guessing.
Velocity is estimated by ordinary least-squares regression against elapsed days. R-squared describes linear fit, not causality or clinical validity. Doubling or halving time uses log-linear regression and is shown only for positive values.
Reference change value is calculated only when the user supplies analyte-, specimen-, population-, and method-appropriate CVa and CVi. Without valid RCV inputs or another validated delta rule, direction, velocity, and percentage change remain descriptive.
The tool displays a general interval only when the analyte and context can be represented safely. Method, specimen, age, sex, posture, collection timing, calibration, and local validation can change the reported range.
When a transferable interval is not appropriate, the profile explains the required assay or clinical context and directs the user to the reporting laboratory's current interval.
Entered laboratory values are processed in the browser. Favorites and optional local intervals are stored only in the browser's local storage. Do not enter names, dates of birth, record numbers, or other direct identifiers.
Press / outside a form field to jump to laboratory search. Each profile can be copied, printed, transferred to serial analysis, or connected to a supported unit conversion.
