Definition of terms:
Premature neonate: Neonate born at less than 38 weeks gestational age. (Gestational age: term from conception to birth).
Neonate: Full term newborn (birth to 1 month).
Infant: 1 month to 1 year of age.
Child / Children: 1 to 12 years of age.
Adolescent: 13 to 18 years of age.
