Example of embedding sound.  The embed tag is compatible with both Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer.   If you are accustomed to using the "bgsound" tag, this is compatible only with Internet explorer.

Oher options are available, however these are the most common.  If you want the music to start as soon as the page is opened change autostart to "true". If you want it to play nonstop, change loop to "-1".  The following sound files are compatible: Midis (.mid),   .au ,    and .wav files.
