Automating complex algorithms is essential considering the fast-paced nature of healthcare.  Future applications will focus on disease state management. A perfect example of such an application would be a type 2 diabetes treatment tool. The user would simply enter a few patient specific parameters such as weight, age, Scr, LFTs, and current hbA1c and would then receive specific treatment guidelines.  In this example, the user would resubmit these parameters at 3 month intervals in order to receive relevant follow-up and treatment changes and/or recommendations.  The possibilities are endless....
