Epididymitis-orchitis Possible therapeutic alternatives
Epididymitis-orchitis (Men < 35 yrs). Common pathogens
Ceftriaxone 250mg IM as a single dose plus Doxycycline 100mg orally twice daily for 10 days.   
Epididymitis-orchitis (Men > 35 years old). Common pathogens
[ Levofloxacin 500-750 mg once daily or Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily]  x 10-14 days
Alternatively:
Ampicillin-sulbactam 1.5 to 3 grams IV q6h  OR  Ceftriaxone 1-2 grams IV q24h OR 
Piperacillin-tazobactam 3.375 grams IV q6h.
